Pumpkin Flood (2005)

20x16 in ~ Painting, Oil

In October of 2005, Southern New England experienced such a devastating flood that lives were lost in New Hampshire. Fields of pumpkins were ripped from their vines from New Hampshire, through Massachusetts, and into Connecticut. On Halloween, as I painted the beautiful autumn foliage from the Deep River town landing, I could watch pumpkins heading south to the Long Island Sound.
